In this 1921 work, Freud argues that dreams provide insight into the unconscious mind. In his view, dreams are attempts by the unconscious to resolve conflicts. He calls the most significant component of dreams the "dream-work" which is rooted in unconscious desires that manifest in conscious behavior.
